AVAILABLE NOW! INCLUDED IN NTFS PLUS LICENSE FOR NOW. MAY BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE SEPARATELY AT A LATER DATE.
PermissionMe NTFS Plus Snapshot allows you to keep track of changes to NTFS Permissions quickly and easily.
NTFS Snapshot allows selecting only the folders you want to monitor for changes in Permissions.
To get started using NTFS Snapshot, press the Select Folders button on the upper left corner. This will bring up the popup shown on the left.
Simple browse to select a share/folder, and press Add Folder to profile, then Save and Exit and you are ready to start monitoring folder permissions.
Once you have created and selected a profile, you can either run a snapshot manually or schedule snapshots to run on a periodic basis.
NOTE: The snapshot program will run in the background on your computer after it is installed. Your computer must be on at the time of the schedule snapshot in order for you to capture the data.
With NTFS Snapshot, you can also read, display and filter on NTFS Permission data for a given date. The data includes all Permissions.
Select Open Snapshot to view and filter the data. A button allows breaking out groups to show permissions by individual.
NTFS Snapshot allows you to select any two snapshots in history and compare for changes made over that time period.
Simply select the two snapshots you want to compare, and run the report.
NTFS Snapshot allows you to see all permissions, along with changed permissions. Simply filter for the types of changes you want to view and search.
NTFS Snapshot also allows you to filter on other fields, and select additional grid columns, such as whether the user is diabled.
